Majorca (or Mallorca) is an island located in the Mediterranean Sea, one of the Balearic Islands. It is the largest by area and third most populated island of Spain.
The capital of the island, Palma, is also the capital of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands.
Like the other Balearic Islands of Ibiza, Formentera and Minorca, the island is a highly popular holiday destination, particularly for tourists from Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Scandinavian countries. The name derives from Latin insula maior, "larger island"; later Maiorica, "the larger one" in comparison to Minorca, "the smaller one."
This Mediterranean residence is situated in Sa Coma, in the municipality of Andratx, which is one of the most beautiful and most coveted areas of Mallorca. It only takes a short drive from the property to the natural harbour of Puerto de Andratx and to the beach at Camp de Mar. The golf course at Camp de Mar is also in the immediate vicinity. The bars and restaurants of Puerto de Andratx offer all the amenities and comforts of Mediterranean life. Due to the south-western alignment of the residence you can enjoy the sun at the pool and in the garden throughout the day. The exquisite solitude in the hills surrounded by pine forests is excellent, especially for nature lovers.
You can reach Palma de Mallorca on account of the well-developed infrastructure within just 30 minutes and Puerto de Andratx is only 5 minutes away. |
